Automated Workflows for E-Commerce Merchants

Amazon has launched an agentic artificial intelligence feature tailored for independent sellers operating on its primary marketplace. The update introduces automated capabilities designed to simplify listing creation, monitoring, and stock management. Unlike standard software tools, agentic systems operate autonomously to execute complex multi-step tasks with minimal manual input.

Continuous Monitoring and Profile Integration

Operating under the concept of workflows, the service works around the clock to carry out operational instructions. The system can immediately notify merchants about sudden drops in store ratings or track price fluctuations across target merchandise. Additionally, the platform remembers unique merchant profiles to offer tailored suggestions concerning product pricing, prospective promotions, and supply levels.

Tool Integration and Data Governance

The system connects directly with external digital applications via plug-in integrations, launching initially with compatibility for Anthropic's Claude and native marketplace tools. According to Mary Beth Westmoreland, vice president of worldwide selling experience, the optional functionality is available to sellers at no additional charge. Users retain control over the extent of personal data shared with the service during operation.
