Meta Rolls Out Muse Image for Enhanced AI Capabilities
Meta Platforms has announced the release of Muse Image, its inaugural image-generation model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. This initiative marks a significant expansion of generative artificial intelligence tools across the company's various applications.
Muse Image, which is integrated within the Meta AI chatbot, offers advanced functionalities. Users can provide intricate prompts, utilize existing photographs as input, and directly modify generated images through sketches or annotations. The model is set to enable over 30 new AI effects for Instagram Stories and facilitate image creation within direct conversations on WhatsApp, initially in specific countries.
Future Expansion and Accessibility
The company intends to broaden the availability of Muse Image to additional countries and integrate it into Facebook and Messenger. While fundamental use of Muse Image with Meta AI will be complimentary, enhanced creation features will be accessible through Meta's subscription offerings.
This rollout follows the April introduction of Muse Spark, the first text-and-reasoning AI model from the Meta Superintelligence Labs team, which was established last year to advance the company's position in the AI sector. The company also provided an early preview of Muse Video, its model for video generation. Advanced AI models are fundamental to the current surge in artificial intelligence, driving autonomous functions such as software code generation, content creation, and customer support management.
