Investment Firms Bid for French Adtech Company Criteo
Vista Equity Partners and investment firm Quinti Capital have submitted a proposal to acquire Criteo, a French advertising-technology company. Sources familiar with the matter indicated that the offer was presented last week.
The proposed valuation for Criteo represents a premium exceeding 50% above its recent share price, according to the sources. Following reports of the development, Criteo's U.S.-listed shares saw a 21.4% increase, closing at $23.17 on Monday. This surge brought the company's market capitalization to approximately $1.16 billion.
Criteo, based in Paris, has not yet determined its response to the takeover proposal, the sources added. The company specializes in digital advertising and retail media services, leveraging data and artificial intelligence to assist brands and retailers in targeting consumers and boosting online sales.
